🔧 Before You Start | Installing the App & Logging In
These setup steps apply whether you’re going for the sale coupon or the membership coupon. If you’ve already installed the app and logged in, skip ahead.
STEP 1｜Install the App
Search the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) for “올리브영” — the Korean spelling. The correct app icon has Korean (Hangul) text on it.
⚠️ Important: Korean app vs. Global app
- Korean app (올리브영): works for in-store coupons in Korea ✅
- OLIVE YOUNG Global: for ordering online from outside Korea. A completely different app ❌
→ If you’re using an OLIVE YOUNG store in Korea in person, make sure you download the Korean-language app.
Search term: 올리브영 (Hangul) — searching “Olive Young” in English may return the wrong app or none at all.
STEP 2｜Go to My Page
Open the app and tap “마이” (My) in the bottom-right corner.
👉 The icon in the bottom-right (a person silhouette) is “마이” (My). This is your hub for login and coupon management.
STEP 3｜Log In (KakaoTalk Is the Easiest Way)
If you have a KakaoTalk account, just tap the yellow “카카오로 로그인” (Log in with Kakao) button — it’s by far the fastest way in.

- A CJ ONE account also works for login
🛍 Sale-Only Coupons | Available Only During the Oliyang Sale
These first-come-first-served coupons are only claimable during OLIVE YOUNG’s seasonal sale (roughly held around March, June, September, and December). The discount amounts are larger, so timing a Korea trip around a sale period can be genuinely worthwhile.
STEP 1｜Tap the Sale Banner
On the home screen, tap the “올영세일” (Oliyang Sale) banner image.
📅 When does the Oliyang Sale happen?
It’s held roughly 4 times a year — most often around March, June, September, and December. If you’re planning a Korea trip, timing it around one of these windows can make a real difference in savings.

STEP 2｜Claim the In-Store Coupon
Tapping the banner opens a promotional page (기획전). Scroll down to the “선착순 쿠폰” (First-come coupons) tab and claim the 2nd one from the top — 매장 선착순 쿠폰 (in-store first-come coupon).

- Release times: midnight, 12pm, and 6pm KST (first-come-first-served)
- Limit of 1 per day — these sell out fast, so being ready right at the release time matters

STEP 3｜Check the Coupon
To confirm your coupon was claimed, go to “마이” (My) → “쿠폰” (Coupon).
👉 The “쿠폰” (Coupon) tab in My Page shows how many you have. In the screenshot example, there are 3 available.
STEP 4｜Show the Barcode at Checkout
A coupon with a barcode icon (바코드) next to it is usable in-store. At checkout, show your phone screen to the staff member and let them scan the barcode.
✅ What to say at checkout
Say this to the staff:
“쿠폰 사용할게요” (kupon sayonghalgeyo)
→ It means “I’ll use a coupon.” Just show the screen — you don’t need to speak Korean beyond this. 😊

This coupon is claimable every single month, regardless of sale periods. You’ll receive a discount based on your current membership rank. Worth claiming before a trip if you know you’ll be shopping in-store.
STEP 1｜Tap the “이벤트” (Event) Tab
Tap “이벤트” (Event) from the tab bar at the top of the home screen.

💡 The banner updates every month. If you don’t see it right away, scroll down a bit.
STEP 2｜Tap “쿠폰 받기” (Claim Coupon)
On the membership benefits page, tap the “[Month] 멤버십 쿠폰 받기” (Claim this month’s membership coupon) button.
✅ Confirming it worked
The button changes to “쿠폰 받기 완료” (Coupon claimed) once done. If it’s grayed out, you’ve already claimed it this month.
⚠️ You can claim this coupon once per month. Don’t forget to grab the new one when the month rolls over.
STEP 3｜Check and Use the Coupon In-Store
Check your claimed coupon under “마이” (My) → “쿠폰” (Coupon). A coupon with a barcode icon is usable in-store.

What Is Membership Rank? Higher Ranks = Better Discounts
OLIVE YOUNG uses a tiered membership rank system — your rank rises based on your cumulative spending. Higher ranks unlock bigger monthly coupon discounts and better point earn rates.

Q. What’s the difference between this app and OLIVE YOUNG Global?
A. OLIVE YOUNG Global is the international shipping service — it ships authentic products to countries outside Korea, so you don’t need to visit in person. Code CLIO728 may qualify for a discount there. If you want to use in-store coupons while visiting Korea, you’ll need the Korean-language app covered in this guide instead.
Q. Do I need a Korean SIM or roaming to use the app?
A. Wi-Fi is enough to use the app and claim coupons. That said, since sale coupons are first-come-first-served, a faster connection (a Korean SIM or reliable Wi-Fi) gives you a real edge over spotty public Wi-Fi.
Q. Can I stack multiple coupons in one purchase?
